Florida Massage Therapy Regulations: Navigating Laws, Compliance, and Best Practices This 2-hour course provides Florida Licensed Massage Therapists (LMTs) and Massage Establishment Owners with a comprehensive understanding of the laws, rules, and regulations governing massage therapy practice in Florida. This course is specifically designed to address the requirements of the Florida Board of Massage Therapy as outlined in the Medical Practice Act (Chapter 456, F.S.), the Massage Practice Act (Chapter 480, F.S.), and Rule Title 64B7, F.A.C. Participants will gain the essential knowledge and skills to maintain compliance, protect their licenses, and avoid potential penalties. Emphasis will be placed on understanding CS/CS/HB 197, Department of Health reporting requirements (including human trafficking awareness), license management, operational standards for establishments, advertising regulations, ethical standards, and the investigative authority of the Board. This course equips participants with the tools needed to practice safely, ethically, and legally within the state of Florida.
