Introduction to Bamboo-Fusion® Massage
Discover the many benefits of Bamboo-Fusion® Massage for massage therapists, estheticians, spas, and clients.Created by Nathalie Cecilia, Bamboo-Fusion® is an innovative modality that combines the art of massage with the therapeutic use of warmed bamboo tools to deliver both relaxing Swedish and effective deep tissue treatments. This technique provides a luxurious and results-driven experience for clients while helping reduce strain and fatigue on the therapist’s hands, wrists, and thumbs. During this engaging demonstration, Nathalie will showcase how warmed bamboo tools of various shapes and sizes can be used to perform techniques such as effleurage, petrissage, and targeted muscle work for different areas of the body. Demonstrations will include table massage techniques as well as chair massage applications ideal for mobile therapists and event settings.In addition, Nathalie will introduce Bamboo-Fusion® Facial Massage, using a specially designed bamboo set created to contour the delicate muscles of the face, helping promote relaxation, circulation, and overall wellness. About the Presenter:
Nathalie Cecilia was born in Nîmes, South France, and holds a Master’s Degree in Philosophy and Languages from the Université des Lettres de Montpellier. In 2004, she attended the Sarasota School of Massage in Florida, and shortly after graduation opened her own studio, where she began experimenting with bamboo to enhance her massage treatments; laying the foundation for what would become Bamboo-Fusion® Massage Therapy. An international lecturer and educator, Nathalie is the creator of Bamboo-Fusion® and is recognized as the original source of bamboo massage in the United States. She has been teaching continuing education classes since 2006 at massage schools, spas, and resorts worldwide. She is a Massage Hall of Fame inductee (2009) and was named Teacher of the Year in 2017.
Her passion is to support therapists in delivering effective, luxurious, and innovative treatments while helping them protect their own bodies through mindful, results-driven techniques.
