An Introduction to Neuromuscular Therapy
Neuromuscular therapy (NMT) is a highly effective treatment for chronic pain and muscular trauma resulting from accident, injury, or strain. The goal of Neuromuscular therapy is to reduce pain, discomfort and stress in the body by using precise manual techniques to relax and lengthen muscles, often successfully reducing or eliminating longstanding painful conditions. Some techniques also help treat acute injuries and improve performance in sport or dance activities by helping to prevent injury. This science-based, clinical evidenced work integrates well into any practice, frequently utilized in chiropractic care, athletic settings and multidisciplinary clinics.
