Low Back, Hip, & Sciatic Pain
This workshop is the perfect opportunity to bridge your understanding of Western and Chinese medicine approach in holistically and comprehensively assessing and treating lower back, hip and sciatic issues. Participants will learn the lower back, hip and sciatic anatomical and physiological interconnection via its innervation, muscles, fascia and meridians of the body, As well as full variety of symptoms and causes of related issues. Treatment options will include multi-modality massage therapy approach: segment-reflex massage techniques, Myofascial Release, Trigger point therapy and Acupressure therapy, as well as, stretching, strengthening and specific dietary recommendations to effectively address these issues. The goal of this workshop is to expand your professional horizon as  a practitioner to achieve stable clinical results, which in turn will allow you to  gain greater respect from the medical community, and significantly expand your practice.

About the presenter:
Dr. Yusuf M. Mihaylov, AP, LMT is on staff at Jupiter Medical Center and has a successful Acupuncture and Wellness Specialists practice in Jupiter, Florida, based on over 32 years of experience in acupuncture, massage therapy, Chinese herbs, and homeopathy. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida College of Oriental Medicine with a Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Professional Health Studies. He then extended his studies with a clinical internship in Beijing, China in 2006. In addition, he graduated as valedictorian from the Swedish Institute of Massage Therapy in New York City and from the Beauty and Massage Institute in Vero Beach, Florida, each deepening his already- extensive knowledge in bodywork. Prior to coming to the United States in 1992, Dr. Mihaylov also completed Physical Rehabilitation studies at the Moscow Institute of Medical-Biological Problems with an emphasis on medical massage, bone-setting techniques and therapeutic exercises. In addition, Dr. Mihaylov is a Continuing Education Provider for the State of Florida, New York State and the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, as well as being International speaker. He also appears as a keynote speaker to educate the general public, advancing the cause of disease prevention and wellness. He has appeared on multiple radio shows and in various newspaper articles; has been involved with the Palm Beach Chapter of the Florida State Massage Therapy Association, an honored presenter at the AMTA and FSMTA conventions; and has received an award from the Palm Beach Chapter as the Licensed Massage Therapist of the Year.
