Touch of Empathy: An Ethics Perspective
Grief is a large and heavy emotion that moves a person through deep transformation. The pain of grief and related emotions, which so many people avoid or suppress, can turn into symptoms in the body, threatening physical and mental wellness. In Touch of Empathy: An Ethics Perspective, you will learn how grief shows up in the body, how it influences physical and mental health, and the importance of helping clients move emotions using massage therapy. This class helps massage therapists stay within their scope of practice, maintain strong boundaries and be confident while working with clients who are struggling with grief and loss.

About the presenter:
Marelda Rodrigues, is a Grief Massage Therapist, Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach, Massage Therapy Educator, Culinary Wellness Educator, author, and speaker. She is a thought leader in Grief Wellness, and believes deeply that suffering in grief is optional.  She developed her version of Grief Massage, from idea to reality, after a life changing conversation with a client. She has since gone on to help numerous others feel comforted and empowered while moving through grief. Her whole person wellness approach includes massage therapy, nutrition, movement, mindset, connection and sleep. From this, her clients emerge feeling revitalized, confident, and powerful.
