Infection Control Practices
American Safety and Training’s Infection Control for the Prevention of Medical Errors was developed and designed for the Florida State Massage Therapy Association to teach the principles of infection control specific for the massage therapy trade.  Topics discussed include:
common Infection Control terminology, definition and identification of blood borne pathogens, routes of entry and exposure, PPE, OSHA regulations, recommended practices from OSHA and the CDC for infection control, trade specific recommendations for developing and implementing an Infection Control Program, awareness of common areas in the workplace where pathogens are found, preventing medical errors related to communicable diseases, recommendations for employee and client safety, and reducing cross-contamination.

About the Presenter:
Tim Carver is the owner of American Safety and Training, a Critical Care Paramedic, and an authorized OSHA Trainer. He is active in the safety community and passionate about safety, especially safety in the workplace. He started American Safety and Training to spread knowledge and improve public safety.
