Shoulder Discomfort and Pain
This course will discuss elements of shoulder discomfort and pain. A live demonstration and hands on participation work will help attendees better understand how they can help to alleviate uncomfortable shoulder issues.

Pat’s 58+ years career experiences in the Health Club & Spa industry spans over a decade. She pursued her career in Medical Massage partnering with several MD’s and DC’s. In 1985 Pat was introduced to “Bindegewebsmassage”. Pat was able to gather many case histories which strengthened her understanding and skills in administering Bindegewebsmassage. 1990 Pat was asked to teach at the New York College of Health Professions. As this institution grew, Pat became the Chair of the Swedish Massage Program and Professor. She wrote and developed the curriculum for the European Massage Department, supervised the student clinic, and gave continuing education to the teachers in her department. Pat maintained her own private practice as Owner and Director of Wholistic Pathways, Lindenhurst, NY. She served the American Massage Therapy Association in NY & FL Chapters as President, as well as a National Vice President. When Pat moved to Florida, she became active in the FSMTA and served as Chair for the By-Laws, Ethics and Awards Committee(s) for many years.
Pat released a specialized DVD on CTM-Bindegewebsmassage from Head to Toe for home-study education for advance education in massage therapy. She is a constant light of professionalism in her practice and promoting massage therapy profession. Pat has won many awards from AMTA, FSMTA and is a member of the Massage Hall of Fame with the WMF where she has received the Life Time Achievement Award.
