Medical Errors
This Medical Errors class defines terms commonly used in the medical industry. Students will learn about Root Cause Analysis in the massage industry. By using scenarios, group discussion and active participation to brainstorm with RCA to mitigate medical errors in
the massage industry.,students will be able to apply RCA to their own practices.

About our presenter:
Adele Boyd has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1996 (MA21436). She has been with Marathon Health clinics for over 5 years performing orthopedic massage and has over 25 years of experience working to restore ROM and reduce pain using soft tissue techniques. She has worked in both Resort Spa and Clinical settings, as well as, managing a sports massage team that has worked with top level athletes (MLS, Ironman). She has assisted current peer reviewed authors in Orthopedic Massage Technique classes. Adele also has success practicing valuable manual approaches such as Orthopedic, Lymphatic drainage, Medi-Cupping, Cranial/Sacral and Pregnancy massage techniques. She has been an instructor at Keiser University and Everest University in both Lakeland & Orlando. She currently serves leadership roles in the Florida State Massage Therapy Association as Executive Director of Parliamentary Procedures/ByLaws & Executive Director of Ethics.
