The Florida State Massage Therapy Association (FSMTA) is a not-for-profit association serving massage therapists throughout Florida and beyond. Founded in 1939 with 85 charter members, our goal has been to collectively support and protect our livelihood. We bring members together as a community, advance their education, promote ethical practice, and advocate for the massage therapy profession. Led by Elected VolunteersFSMTA is run by volunteer members. Executive officers are elected by FSMTA's voting members to two-year terms, with each chapter electing their own presidents, who also serves on the FSMTA Board of Directors. Chapter board officers are also elected for two-year terms by each chapter. Our leaders serve in these roles as volunteers. Candidates for executive office must first serve on a local chapter board, so our leaders know the members they represent.
